About Plusone Linux

Plusone (pronounced plus won) Linux is a small Linux flavor based off of Ubuntu that uses the Openbox windows manager and Linux kernel 2.6.24-21-generic.

The Goal

The goal of Plusone Linux is to be small, easy to use, and unique with the power of Ubuntu behind it.

Ease Of Use

Ubuntu maybe easy but what Plusone Linux tries to do is fill in the gaps for people with lower hardware specs and enjoy having an easy to use OS.

How Does Plusone Linux Accomplish This?

Plusone Linux will try its best to give you what you want for your hardware.  If you have a slow computer, and don’t mind doing some configuring you probably want to setup the Base edition of Plusone.  But what if I don’t want to do too much configuring but have a slow computer?  Then you want the Light edition of Plusone.  If you just like Openbox and want to try it out with a fast computer or with a moderate computer you want to try the Standard edition.

Who is this for?

Anyone!  From expert to beginner, maybe even great for the tech savvy grandmother.

Conclusion

Plusone is great for the home and normal use.
